Dental professionals from across China gathered to follow Dr. Dongdong Li through a comprehensive journey focused on precision, efficiency, and clinical mastery.

As a long-term partner lecturer of Headway, Dr. Li has co-developed a series of micro screw courses covering cities including Taiyuan, Hefei, and Fuzhou, receiving widespread recognition. Continuing his philosophy of “sharing techniques, empowering clinicians,” he guided participants through strategic frameworks and hands-on training to help them build systematic treatment thinking.

Course Highlights

Day 1

The course began with detailed insertion techniques for micro screws in key anatomical regions, including the infrazygomatic crest (IZC), anterior region, and mandibular external oblique ridge. Dr. Li integrated cases of skeletal Class II, gummy smile, and open bite, thoroughly analyzing biomechanical mechanisms and procedural nuances.In the afternoon, the focus turned to treatment strategies for protrusion cases. From mild to skeletal levels, Dr. Li explained how to use micro screws for effective tooth movement, vertical control, and profile improvement, offering practical solutions for preventing and managing the “roller-coaster effect.”During the hands-on session, participants practiced multi-site insertion on models to reinforce theoretical knowledge.

Day 2

The second day advanced into the management of skeletal Class III malocclusions. Dr. Li demonstrated how to perform full-arch distalization, manage anterior inclination, and apply limited decompensation and compromise strategies in cases involving open bite or crowding.The afternoon’s topic—impacted tooth traction—covered the full workflow from diagnosis and planning to force application. Through multiple cases involving different impaction sites, Dr. Li showcased the essential role of micro screws in providing space and stable anchorage.
