Headway Orthodontics & Dr. Li Dongdong: Clinical Application of Implant Anchorage and Multi-Site Implantation Techniques
Nanning Session Successfully Concluded

From November 3–4, 2025, the “Clinical Application of Implant Anchorage and Multi-Site Implantation Techniques” course, organized by Headway Orthodontics and Headway Zhixing Academy, was successfully held in Nanning. Orthodontists from across the country gathered in the Green City to embark on an in-depth training journey focused on clinical challenges and multi-dimensional techniques under the professional guidance of Dr. Li Dongdong.

As a seasoned practitioner and innovator in orthodontics, Dr. Li Dongdong has long been dedicated to systematic teaching and clinical translation of implant anchorage techniques. Leveraging a structured theoretical framework and extensive experience with complex cases, he excels at transforming abstract principles into practical clinical workflows.

As a Headway special lecturer, Dr. Li has adhered to the philosophy of “sharing techniques, empowering clinical practice”, delivering courses across cities such as Taiyuan, Hefei, Kunming, and Fuzhou, consistently earning high recognition from participating orthodontists. The Nanning session continued the signature style of “in-depth analysis + hand-brain coordination”, helping doctors overcome technical bottlenecks in challenging clinical scenarios, including protrusive malocclusion, skeletal Class III cases, and impacted tooth traction.

Substantive Course Content
Day 1: Focused on “Clinical Application of Anchorage Screws and Multi-Site Implantation Techniques”.
Dr. Li began with biomechanical fundamentals and combined real cases from five key areas—zygomatic alveolar ridge, anterior region, external oblique line, etc.—to systematically explain implantation logic and operational details. Typical scenarios included skeletal Class II, gingival smile control, and molar intrusion.

The afternoon session concentrated on “Treatment Strategies for Protrusive Malocclusion Using Implant Anchorage”, progressing from mild cases to skeletal protrusion. Core topics included mechanical design, prevention and management of the “roller-coaster effect,” vertical control, and achieving counter-rotation, equipping participants with a comprehensive diagnostic-to-treatment mindset.

Day 2: Delved further into complex clinical scenarios.
Morning: “Treatment Strategies for Skeletal Class III Malocclusion” explored open bite, moderate to severe crowding, and camouflaged treatment approaches, detailing how anchorage screws can aid in full-arch mandibular distalization, anterior tooth angulation control, and compromise strategies.
Afternoon: “Treatment Strategies for Impacted Teeth” covered traction workflow design, key precautions, and typical cases including labial-palatal impacted canines and second molars, systematically highlighting the role of anchorage screws in traction path control and force optimization.

Through abundant imaging and dynamic demonstrations, Dr. Li deconstructed complex problems into actionable, reusable technical modules. During hands-on sessions, participants personally completed multi-site bone screw implantation training, from precise placement to complication management, achieving a full knowledge-to-skill transformation. The interactive atmosphere was lively, with many doctors remarking:
“This course not only resolved our current clinical challenges but also provided a systematic approach for managing complex cases.”

Empowerment Moment
At the course conclusion, Headway presented Dr. Li Dongdong with a Certificate of Appreciation for his ongoing dedication and professional guidance in orthodontic knowledge transfer.

All participants received a Completion Certificate, jointly certified by Headway Orthodontics, Headway Zhixing Academy, and Dr. Li Dongdong. A doctor from South China shared:
“This certificate is not only proof of learning but also a ‘key’ for managing complex orthodontic cases in the future.”

Advancing Together
Every gathering aims for more precise treatment; every learning opportunity drives orthodontic progress. Headway will continue to collaborate with Dr. Li Dongdong to offer high-quality courses in cities nationwide, helping orthodontists explore new frontiers in precise clinical treatment.
