From September 22nd to 23rd, 2025, the "51st DCA Dynamic Cephalometry and Diagnostic Design Computer Session" hosted by Headway Zhixing Academy was successfully held in Fuzhou.Orthodontic doctors from all over the country gathered together, under the systematic and cutting-edge guidance of the instructor team, to jointly launch this core technology feast focusing on dynamic cephalometry and diagnostic design.

This course was led by Dr. Yu Jidong, of whom served as a specialist in an orthodontist, Tweed archwire technology , transverse straight wire orthodontic treatment, as well as the founder of DCA cephalometry technology. As a senior lecturer of Headway Ortho, Dr. Yu has co-developed the DCA cephalometry series of courses with us for many years. The content is useful and highly practical, highly praised by a wide range of trainees.

In this course, we also invited another four instructors: Liu Litao, Wang Guifang, Chen Guoxiu, and Zhang Shanshan. They patiently and meticulously guided the trainees in software operation and case analysis, demonstrating excellent professional qualities and teaching enthusiasm, ensuring the learning effectiveness of each trainees.

Cephalometry is an important tool for assessing craniofacial growth and development and diagnosing orthodontic diseases, playing a key role in the design and post-treatment judgment of orthodontic treatment. Since the advent of cephalometry in the 1940s, many scholars have conducted extensive research on its accuracy, and two-dimensional cephalometry technology has subsequently matured, becoming an indispensable means in the daily clinical work of orthodontic doctors. With the emergence of cone beam CT (Cone beam computed tomography, CBCT), cephalometry has achieved a leap from two-dimensional planes to three-dimensional space, effectively compensating for the limitations of X-ray cephalometry in structural overlap, magnification errors, and landmark positioning deviations.

Each module of the course directly addresses the core difficulties of dynamic diagnostic design! Under the guidance of the instructors, the trainees used computer software to personally operate and practice core skills such as WPS image management, slide production, Johnston equal division cephalometry, and DCA cephalometry application.

At the end of the course, Headway awarded Instructors with a "Certificate of Appreciation", appreciating them for their outstanding contribution and unremitting efforts in promoting the development of precise diagnostic technology in Chinese orthodontics!
