The "The Great Dao is Simple — Dr. Zhong Hao's High-Efficiency Labial Orthodontic Technique Training Course," hosted by HEADWAY ORTHODONTIC and Headway Zhixing Academy, successfully concluded in Hangzhou on October 15-16, 2025. This course focused on the core difficulties and cutting-edge applications of labial orthodontic technology. Dr. Zhong Hao, utilizing his solid theoretical knowledge and vast clinical experience, delivered a systematic, in-depth, and highly clinically relevant academic feast for orthodontists from across the country.
Leading Expert: In-Depth Analysis of Clinical Essentials

Dr. Zhong Hao, a Master of Orthodontics and Attending Physician, served as the Chief Orthodontist at the former Wu Guangzeng Orthodontic Studio. He is also a core member of both the Shen Gang Orthodontic Team and the Xu Ziqing Lingual Orthodontic Team, a Standing Committee Member of the Professional Committee of Lingual Invisible Orthodontics, and a Distinguished Senior Lecturer for HEADWAY ORTHODONTIC. Recognized for his outstanding clinical skills, he was honored with the Second Prize in the 4th National Exhibition and Review of Excellent Dental Cases. He also served as the Invited Craniomaxillofacial Aesthetics Expert for the Miss World 72nd Final in Shenzhen, providing unique insights in the interdisciplinary field of orthodontics and aesthetics.
Course Core: Systematically Building Clinical Mindset

Operating under the core philosophy of "The Great Dao is Simple," Dr. Zhong Hao systematically organized the technical chain for high-efficiency labial treatment. The first day’s lecture began with high-efficiency alignment of the dental arch from a biomechanical perspective, delving into target-position oriented treatment design, new approaches for non-conventional extraction cases, and strategies for complex issues like 'locking the bite' and occlusal plane deviation. Regarding high-frequency clinical applications such as sectional arch technique, precise placement of orthodontic mini screws (TADs), and anti-debonding measures, Dr. Zhong provided "pitfall-avoidance" explanations combined with numerous case studies.

The second day’s course ventured into more challenging clinical areas. Dr. Zhong Hao provided a detailed analysis of the treatment logic for skeletal Class II mandibular retrusion, focusing on the hot topic of "menton" (chin) aesthetic reshaping. Furthermore, he demonstrated the complex techniques of molar distalization, and the design and uprighting skills for various impacted teeth (canines, wisdom teeth) with meticulous detail. The curriculum also covered the modified 2x4 technique, root control skills for fenestration/dehiscence cases, orthodontic aesthetic design, and the management and handling of challenging inherited cases. The content was interconnected, helping participants build a complete knowledge system from diagnosis to fine adjustment.
To reinforce practical application, the course included intensive hands-on sessions. Under the personal demonstration and guidance of Dr. Zhong Hao, participants practiced bending closing loops and performing intricate archwire bending. This "learn-and-practice" model allowed participants to deeply understand the principles of mechanics and technical details through hands-on work, truly enabling them to "take the technology back and immediately apply it in the clinic."
Witness to Honor: Collaborating to Explore High-Efficiency Techniques
At the end of the course, HEADWAY ORTHODONTIC specially presented a "Certificate of Appreciation" to Dr. Zhong Hao, thanking him for his dedicated sharing of valuable clinical wisdom and experience.
Additionally, all course participants received a "Certificate of Completion" jointly certified by HEADWAY ORTHODONTIC, HuaWen Zhixing Academy, and Dr. Zhong Hao, marking a new step in their clinical skill enhancement.
In the future, HEADWAY will continue to work with Dr. Zhong Hao and the wider community of orthodontic professionals to cultivate clinical education. We aim to support the technical advancement of Chinese orthodontists and collectively explore the infinite possibilities of orthodontic technology through more diverse and cutting-edge specialized courses!
